InterAid Uganda, UNHCR, OPM and Other stakeholders commence the 2012 AGDM, particularly assessment with Urban Refugees.

The Urban Refugee Programme together with UNHCR,OPM and stakeholders have this week started the AGDM (Age, Gender, Diversity Mainstreaming) Participatory Assessment which is to run up to 19th October 2012. A part from meeting with refugees of different ages, gender , nationality and categories of various diversities including Unaccompanied Minors(UAMs), persons with disability, youth among others, the exercise shall include meetings with other stakeholders particularly service providers such as Police, Health Workers at KCCA Health Centers, Local Council Chairpersons, Religious Leaders, Primary and Special Needs school’s administration and teachers. The exercise for this year is running on the theme “Past, Present, Future, Joint way forward for a better future of urban refugees”. The exercise shall evaluate the implementation of last year’s AGDM resolutions by all on whose basis a way forward for next year shall be discussed, bringing out the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders.
